Mary’s Meanders is a tour company registered in Scotland. Our registered office is 18 Cameron Knowe, Philpstoun, West Lothian.
We respect your right to privacy and will only process personal data you provide to us in accordance with GDPR and all other applicable privacy laws.
2. Why we collect data
In general terms Mary’s Meanders collects your data;
- to provide you with the most user-friendly online navigation experience;
- administer tours
- send periodic emails, primarily for marketing purposes
We also gather statistical and other analytical information on an aggregate basis of all visitors to our website. This data comprises information that cannot be used to identify or contact a user, such as demographic information for example.

3. Who receives your data
The recipients of the data are Mary’s Meanders staff (permanent, fixed term, contract and trainee) who process the data only in the ways that have been defined in the “why we collect data” section. Each staff member has been educated about the importance of the GDPR.

Mary’s Meanders website contains hyperlinks to websites owned and operated by third parties. 4.1 Rezdy Tour Booking Software
We use online booking system Rezgo to manage our tour bookings. You can find out more about Rezdy’s privacy policy here.
4.2 Payment processing
When booking using Rezdy, your payments will be processed by PayPal or Stripe. You can read their privacy policies here.
4.3 Facebook Messenger
We use Facebook Messenger to provide a live chat service on our website. You can find out more about Facebook’s Privacy Policy here.
4.2 Google Analytics and Remarketing
Third party vendors, including Google, may show Mary’s Meanders ads on sites on the internet. Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to Mary’s Meanders website. We may also use analytics data to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to our website, as well as to develop remarketing lists for customised campaigns (Remarketing Lists for Search Ads). Users may opt out of Google’s use of cookies by visiting the Google advertising opt-out page. In addition, you may also opt out of third party vendor’s use of cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt out page.
4.3 Social Media
Mary’s Meanders uses a variety of social media channels and any data captured by Mary’s Meanders via these channels will be done so with your consent. Social media channel advertisers will be required to obtain consent from users for the collection of data for personalized ads (e.g. remarketing tags to build audience lists) and for the use of cookies where legally required (e.g. conversion tags). 5. When will Mary’s Meanders Contact Me?
5.1 Mary’s Meanders may contact you:
- in relation to any service, activity or online content to ensure that Mary’s Meanders can deliver the services, e.g. to verify your email when you sign up for a Mary’s Meanders newsletter

- When you phone Mary’s Meanders
Mary’s Meanders call operator might ask for some personal information in relation to your query. Mary’s Meanders will retain this information until we respond to your call. Then we will destroy the information.
- When you email Mary’s Meanders
Any records we create after responding to your email will be destroyed once the email is sent.
- When you write a letter to Mary’s Meanders
Mary’s Meanders will only retain the information necessary to respond to your letter. This will be no longer than 14 working days.
5.2 Will I be contacted for marketing purposes?
Mary’s Meanders will only send you marketing emails where you have agreed to this. We may personalise the message content based on any information you have provided to us.
