I traveled with a group of 12 people and we spent 8 days with Anne, Dave, and Emma traveling between Glasgow, Fort William, Inverness, Pitlochry, and Edinburgh. Our trip was Outlander themed but had lots of elements of Scottish history and culture, as well. I can't imagine how things could have gone any better. We really did "arrive a visitor, leave as friends" and feel that Anne, Dave, and Emma made the experience just brilliant. I couldn't imagine traveling in Scotland without them, and wouldn't want to! They were so friendly and knowledgeable, adding insights and information at every stop, and personalizing the experience for each and every one of us. The genuine caring that they showed for us was unexpected and lovely, really making us feel comfortable no matter what. We enjoyed all of the Outlander sites and historic Scotland places; and the bits and pieces of their own lives and experiences that they brought to us were icing on this magnificent cake. I plan to bring another group to Scotland soon and will work even more closely with Mary's Meanders because they are experts not only on Scotland but on human beings--how they operate and what they need. Sept 2025 • Solo I could not have enjoyed my Quintessential Outlander Tour more than I did in September 2025. Once the tour started Emma and Anne has everything planned out perfectly. The itinerary was robust but not overwhelming. The group was the perfect size and I made several friendships that have continued since the tour ended. Emma and Anne love what they do, and they love Scotland, and it shows. I highly recommend this trip to any Outlander fan. From day one we we visited filing locations, were given behind the scenes insights, first-hand accounts of what it was like while the show was filming, and stories about meeting Diana Gabaldon, and various actors throughout the years. We even had a intimate performance from Gillebride MacMillan the bard from season 1 of the show. In addition to amazing Outlander content, the tour was full of amazing Scottish history. It was incredibly emotional to visit the Culloden Battlefield. But it was an important part of the trip for me. The lodging was really nice for this tour as well. I wasn't sure what that would really be like, but the cottages we stayed at were so peaceful and quiet and allowed the others on the tour to relax together in the mornings and evenings. We even had access to a cozy hot tub which was perfect for sore muscles after walking each day. So if you want an immersive Outlander experience, in a family-like setting, in a gorgeous area, guided by two very friendly ladies who love the books/show as much as you do, book a tour with Mary Meanders. Apr 2025 • Couples We spent three amazing days with Anne. The first was a private Ancestry tour of Ayrshire. This was so much fun and allowed us to learn about our heritage and actually see where the family came from. We spent the next two days with a tour of Stirling Castle, seeing the Kelpies and The Falkirk Wheel. We ended with a trip out to Fife, walking on St. Andrews golf course. Anne is a wonderful host and very knowledgeable. She knows how, when, and where to take you to maximize your time and get the most from the trip. Grandpa69, TripAdvisor

We scheduled a tour with Mary’s Meanders Tours and Anne was our guide for the day. Anne was so kind and accommodating, and by the end of the day we felt like we had known her for years! She is very knowledgeable and made sure we saw as much as we possibly could during the time we were together. The coach was very comfortable and our driver was fantastic!
