How to book
How do I pay?

If there are not enough people will the tour be cancelled?
We require a minimum of 3 guests on each tour. If less than the minimum number book for the group tour, it may not go ahead, but we will always try to arrange an alternative day for you to do the tour.
Why can’t I book a tour for tomorrow?
We kindly ask that you book a tour date at least 48 hours before the tour date so we can ensure you have the best experience possible.
Do you offer Outlander tours in French, Spanish, Italian, German?
We do have French, German and Spanish guides available by request but sadly not Italian at this time.
How do I cancel a tour booking?
If you need to cancel a tour booking, please let us know by email as soon as you can.
For day tour bookings, we will provide a full refund if you contact us 48 hours before the tour date.
For multi-day tours and overnight extended tours, we will provide a full refund, less deposit, if you contact us not less than 8 weeks before the tour. Cancellations 8 weeks to 30 days before the tour are refundable less 75% of the value of the trip. Cancellation within 29 days - non-refundable.

Can I buy a gift voucher?
Mary’s Meanders gift vouchers make a great gift and are available for all our tours during the upcoming season. To buy a voucher, find the tour you are interest in and the click on the gift voucher option.

Why do your tours start in Linlithgow?
By catching a train to Linlithgow, you will arrive at the first stop on our tour much faster. The same journey by road would take almost twice as long, plus you are limiting your carbon footprint, which is kind on the environment.
How do I buy a train ticket?

How do I get to Waterloo Place, Edinburgh?
Scottish Castle on Film Tour begins at Waterloo Place, 10 minutes from Edinburgh Waverly Train Station.
We will be parked across from Live Aveda Hairsalon. We are easy to spot as we will be wearing blue or red jackets on with Mary’s Meanders on them and the bus will have an identifiable sign.

What should I wear?
Please wear comfy shoes that you will be happy to walk in. Some of the locations we visit on the tours have steep staircases, heels not advised!
We would also suggest having a waterproof jacket with you as we will tour rain or shine.
What vehicles do you use?
We have a Citroen Grand Picasso, and we use a combination of Mercedes and Ford 8 and 15 seater minibuses.
Can I tip the guide?
I am sure your guide would gladly accept a tip!
Will the tour go ahead if it rains?
Yes, all our tours go ahead in the rain or shine. In case of severe weather such as gales or extreme cold your tour will be re-scheduled. For any questions prior to your scheduled tour please contact us at tours@marysmeanders.co.uk
Are Entry Fees and Lunch included?
No, they are not part of the tour cost. Details about additional entry fees are included in the tour description. A summary of additional entry fees is also available here.
Lunch is at your own cost, we make a stop on tours for lunch as a group. If you have any dietary requirements, please let me know so we can advise the venue in advance.

How do I see the Virtual Outlander Tour?
All you need is Zoom. Book onto our website and on the day of your tour you will receive a link to your tour. Just click on it and that’s it you are in!
