Coming to Scotland in 2015?
A great day trip is to visit Linlithgow, West Lothian.
We are just 20 miles from Edinburgh and there are direct trains from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling.
What is there to do?
Well of course there are our tours – a 90 minute tour of our Royal Burgh, Ghost Walks and Outlander tour based on the TV series locations.
You can also visit Linlithgow Palace, the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots. This Spring a statue will be erected there in her honour by The Marie Stuart Society.
There are many places to have lunch – The Star and Garter Hotel, Taste Deli, The Four Mary’s, Caffe La Ronda, Brodies and The Westport Hotel are some of the eateries in the town.
After lunch you can visit the Linlithgow Canal Centre and enjoy a relaxing cruise on one of their barges or for the more active hire an electric bike from Easygobikes or play 9 holes at Kingsfield Golf Centre.
Finish the day off by coming along to our dinner show based on Outlander – A Taste of Outlander which is held in The Star and Garter Hotel.
