Live Classic virtual Outlander Tour
We now have almost 1,000 people have joined us on this tour. It has been fantastic to see lots of “old” friends and meet so many new people, sharing our wonderful Outlander world.  We are trying hard to keep up with the demand for the French tour and keep adding as many extra as possible. Keep in touch on our Facebook page for more.
www.marysmeanders.co.uk/virtual-tour-and-experience/virtual-outlander-tour-of-scotland/
We will be launching the Virtual tour in Spanish shortly. We are delighted to announce it will be delivered by Gillebride, the Bard from Outlander and renowned gaelic singer who is also a fluent Spanish speaker. He will share his experiences working on the show with you.
The Live Classic Location tours are FREE to join, but we will happily accept a small gratuity if you have enjoyed it. https://www.paypal.me/marysmeanders
We have had a few enquiries about running the tour for groups and teams for team-building. We are very happy to discuss this, with adaptations, if needed. We would apply a small charge for this service. Email emma@marysmeanders.co.uk to discuss.

New Locations Tour
We have had such a good response to our Classic tour, and many have said they would love to “tour” with us again, so we are delighted to launch our second Virtual Outlander locations tour.
This will take you to many other locations we visit on our tours, some of which you would struggle to find on any other tours on offer in Scotland.
Locations include:

  • Falkland- 1940’s and 60’s Inverness
  • Hopetoun House- Duke of Sandringham’s home, Helwater stables and various French scenes
  • Drummond Castle Gardens – gardens at Versailles
  • Glencorse Kirk- the wedding chapel
  • Preston Mill- the water wheel
  • Craigmillar Castle – Ardsmuir prison
  • Tibbermore Church- witch trial
  • Clava Cairns – standing stones
  • And many more

And of course, once again Emma or Anne will join you live from Scotland to chat about the filming and the locations.
There will be a small charge for this tour. Open for booking now https://www.marysmeanders.co.uk/virtual-tour-and-experience/live-virtual-outlander-tour-in-scotland/

Brunch at Home
We had a fabulous Brunch at Home on Saturday with Jenny, from Courses with Cooks showing us how to make the very best scones, and they were delicious. Everyone got the recipe afterwards. And Gillebride, The Bard from Outlander and renowned gaelic singer, entertained us. A great way to catch up with friends and enjoy a taste of Scotland on a Saturday morning.

There are still places available on our next Brunch on Saturday the 23rd May– with a medieval cooking demonstration from Denise, The Time Travelling cook, an insight into Combat International who do all the stunts on Outlander, with Pep, and entertainment by Boorach band. And for those who missed the bodhrans from Outlander S5, there will be plenty here.  If you can’t make it on the day check out some of the amazing recipes here https://timetravellingcook.com/

World Outlander Day
You can enjoy more of Gillebride and Outlander friends at this special event on World Outlander day, the 1st June https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/gillebride-macmillan/world-outlander-day-ceilidh-gathering-online/e-jmgoxk?fbclid=IwAR33Nza6dDlBupnPuXuKrdBKmvnDNN8ownZzbkcc4bKVvLVRW7SMkiwNH7Q

Update on the situation in Scotland
Yesterday, 21st May, The Scottish Government issued their “roadmap” for emerging from lockdown. A few activities will restart at the beginning of June and we will move through several phases, as long as virus number remain low. We expect visitors from throughout the UK to be the first to start travelling to Scotland., but as yet we have no dates for the likely resumption of international tourism. In the meantime we will be here on-line and the beautiful scenery will be waiting for you.

What’s Next
We will also be celebrating World Outlander Day on June 1st, more details to follow.
We have a number of exciting initiatives in the pipeline to help you through this difficult period, including more online tours and events, talks and workshops and Q & A sessions to help you prepare for when you can travel again. Keep in touch on our Social Media Channels
