“My passions include –
The Scotland I love from mountain to loch and beyond, I am a mountaineer and have climbed all of Scotland’s 284 Munros.
We regularly undertake sea kayaking expeditions and spend a lot of our time in the Highlands where we have many friends.
Music has always been an important part of my life and I have played in bands an performed over a number of years playing fiddle, whistles and bodhran. My daughter Eilidh is an accomplished musician and this brings me great joy.
I am of the clan McDonald on my father’s side and Davidson on my mother’s side and have 5 kilts that I wear on various occasions including the Fraser tartan as I am a huge fan of Diana Gabaldon and Outlander.
I have a vast library of books about Scotland its history, people and places. I love meeting people from different parts of the world drawn to Scotland by the magic of Outlander.”
Highlights
- Visit Glencoe, one of Scotland’s most outstanding areas of natural beauty. Marvel at the stunning mountains & soak up the atmosphere were the tragic massacre took place. This day will include a short walk in the glen itself.

- Visit the darker side of Culross, this time it is all about the Fife Witches Trail
- Visit The Haggis Experience
- Visit two very different distilleries – Lindores Abbey & Glengoyne Distillery
