Lights Camera Action – On set at the filming of Outlander Series 2

Battle preparations

Anne and I are incredibly lucky  to live where we do. Linlithgow is quite literally at the heart of many  Outlander filming locations & it is quite strange to realise you are walking the dog where months earlier Jamie and Claire were saying their emotional goodbyes!

Over the winter months, we made it along to a number of set locations either just before, after and during filming. After watching the cast & crew go about their work – in sometime horrendous conditions – we have a lot of respect for them all. They have created the most wonderful show and are so friendly and polite – even sharing their sweets with us on one occasion!

As Season 3 beckons I hope that we are able to see some more behind the scenes action. I’ll be buying some hand warmers & a mini flask just in case!!

Hope to see you on a tour soon! Emma
