I traveled with a group of 12 people and we spent 8 days with Anne, Dave, and Emma traveling between Glasgow, Fort William, Inverness, Pitlochry, and Edinburgh. Our trip was Outlander themed but had lots of elements of Scottish history and culture, as well. I can't imagine how things could have gone any better. We really did "arrive a visitor, leave as friends" and feel that Anne, Dave, and Emma made the experience just brilliant. I couldn't imagine traveling in Scotland without them, and wouldn't want to! They were so friendly and knowledgeable, adding insights and information at every stop, and personalizing the experience for each and every one of us. The genuine caring that they showed for us was unexpected and lovely, really making us feel comfortable no matter what. We enjoyed all of the Outlander sites and historic Scotland places; and the bits and pieces of their own lives and experiences that they brought to us were icing on this magnificent cake. I plan to bring another group to Scotland soon and will work even more closely with Mary's Meanders because they are experts not only on Scotland but on human beings--how they operate and what they need.
